I baby earth: a ball of molten metals
gaseous vapours fermenting on a brittle crust
islands of congealing rocks floated
on top of a spewing orb
the sun sears through the thin atmosphere
melting lonely sediment back into the core
comets never slowed their impact
weaving through endless oblivion
a few landed absolving holy frames
trapped inside one: the most improbable chemical reaction
six carbons made a ring, whose force could not be broken
turning inwards
the tiny particle cocooned in a bubble of lead
and preserved through many generations
chaos expanded across the distant sphere
slowly and patiently our Maker created order within
islands upon red became islands upon blue
cocooned in a lead ball,
the ring waited to taste fresh air
and set fire to itself joining the wind
slowly slowly Good Mother waited
to deposit sacred gift upon her skin
the ball rose and rose and rose to the surface
until it found that the earth had completely built a crust
and the earth realized how painful it would be
to spew the six onto its surface
but the painfull ring had been
gathering a force and created a momentum
which could not be reversed
the ocean's salty tears
healed back the deep scar left in the earth |
II
hiss
open lead shell
entering C-ring circa B.C. 4.3 billion
a high pitch cry
to baby's first open eye
Good Mother sigh the sea calm
holding the first life in her open palm
the land rests
the wind convenes
the mountains tremble above all the scheme
all things giving kaya to baby ring
open channel port life anew
slowly slowly ring glowing
as it received
the sun's white
the ocean's might
earth protection
wind genuflection.
cloud cooing silence
internal violence
growing in brilliance the ring repelled upon itself
drifting farther and farther away
as neighbors danced in awe
and another - yet another!
to an openedchannel around the C-ring
a vortex woven through a narrow needle
Good mother knew
even the smallest parts can hold life too

the bond was more an agreement than anything else
originally wrought between each atom's likeness
so the six became one
shining forth ecstacy to good mother
all masters of the earth were soon to know
their offerings passed into a flame that burned inside the center
each gift a flame in its own color intensity
combining into true white at times
naive
each monk experienced a lifetime in a quark
forgetting the beautiful dance
donating artistry to Friends so distant
remembering vaguely the first moment
whence fromwhich I dissipated
and then to come
to come
togather
to release
giving and donating
to the self
a light retained
as one searched the cold dark outside the ring
to find another still the same
yet mired in the eternity of its loneliness
with a pity beyond admonition
one insider was compelled by a cry
from the outside a brother carbon of the ring
wrapped in the envy of its own strife
grasping
the initiate cried to the ring
"don't let go for i may never return"
and with it a few brothers
seizing the chance: to reap, to hold
linked together as a tail |
IV
Curiousity
That as the six sat at its ancient seats
Each one knew of its seemingly infinite bretheren
cast through the corners of the universe
most disapparaging was their loneliness
from those who wallowing a silent dirge,
though in their hearts believed no one would hear
often the council would wish that a few
of them could see such colorful sights
and in dreams they knew
as the tail thrashed
there was a new pain
of growing and motion
the desperation of each
lonely carbon had come too close
to the circle
the pain grew until it was too much
impulse cast
return ring
wail drawn
one moment of crying
separation
had tail spun into another ring

before let there be light
before the bliss
there was an undiscovered template
& Yahweyh had something to cast unyielding forays of energy
& Elohim realized blindly the potential
dried
flinting
vibration
a dark circle that contained inside all mass Invoked
One then drifted in no space danced into that point
His release
was the explosion that dispersed
flaming carnage into the nothingness

VI
From the two rings, one tale:
One atom allowed itself to split infinitely,
Venturing out as far as it could,
Only to perceive Oneness that is
between competing & representing.
Consuming, resting;
repeating at equilibrium.
Yet, when the second ring said to the first,
"I am like you in much the same way."
The first six could not accept this.
so Allah called the first ring Father,
the next ring Daughter.
This is duty, defined through the Expression:
that Daughter could not give to Father,
and Father could not receive from Daughter. |
VII
Crying;
exclamating the sudden awareness of separation
as Daughter felt Father's disenchantment
& forgotten,
& drifting into the vague uncertainty
of the promise of new Soul.
Sister, ungrown & tortured,
cast into the dusky fields.
A cry, a cry'; a painless cry''
echoing shrill vibrations to Good mother.
Fires fade
as five monks chide the first
for its initial discharge.
Retrench
had neglected birth blessing
from all its bretheren.
Now Father reciprocated a justification for callousness,
only to receive the resounding verdict,
as a king who in a moment received conscience,
passed all pain onto Daughter,
who cried the separation,
through instilled new bonds.
This time, not carbon, but any element
who wished to combine
would rape her constantly from all sides,
while Daughter still retained its bond.
Good mother saddened,
quelled and removed
the obtrusions: unfathomable formations
gathered to dissolve a bond that rivaled Father.
Jealous sediment cast to the air,
now hangs upon rocks:
conspiring ambush with tiny minds
|
VIII
The lofty sediment gathered,
where it would crunch and stymie each other
taking turns
pretending one was she
and the other was he
with one's answer 'please,'
the retort that would grow. A community of tears
somehow feigned itself into new species.
The cost of having harmed innocence
was shrill satisfaction &
the fantasy of possessing something never theirs
as the shore lapped against them,
a hardened community
of gold and green
grew on the rocks.

IX
Time passed a painfull Witness to Father.
Years of pride,
the Six reopened
channel of the elements' gifts
again:
waking from disarray,
Father realized how Life
yearned for Daughter:
Daughter's cry silenced.
Armies that no longer sensed her pain
wondered who they were again
(communities of confused
life upon beaches.
Primordial churnings;
oversatiated)
Quelled. Broken, yet brooding,
Daughter opened her eye
as Father spoke words of encouragement:
